Overview

McLarens Containers, a pioneer in container depot operations in Sri Lanka, has been in business since 1979. It is one of the most strategically located inland container depots, situated on the Colombo-Negombo highway, almost equidistant to the country’s main Air and Sea Ports. We have 8 acres of paved yardage and the capacity to store 3500 twenty foot equivalent units, stacked 5 high.

McLarens Containers commenced operations providing off-hire depot facilities to two major container leasing companies at the time, namely Transamerica Leasing Inc. and Gelco CTI. Thereafter our depot services extended to major shipping lines, NVOCC operators, reefer, dry special and ISO Tank operators.

In 40 years of existence McLarens Containers an ISO 9001:2015 quality management system certified company, has now grown to provide a wide range of Logistics Services such as Warehousing, Cargo Lashing, Project Cargo Handling, Container Freight Station, Container Transport, Container Rigging, Container Trading, Conversion and Liquid Cargo Handling.

State-of-the-art handling equipment including empty container handlers, fork lifts, prime movers, and trailers ensure a definite first in/first out stacking configuration. While our computerized Yard Management System keeps customers updated of the status of their inventory at all times. Our facility is fully secured with boundary walls, high bay lighting and CCTV monitoring.

Our fully equipped repair facility meets the stringent criteria of shipping lines and container leasing companies worldwide. An experienced and skilled workforce, with IICL qualified Surveyors, guarantees a quality service to all customers. It is no wonder that we have been awarded with the Gold Medal for service and quality in the South East Asian region.
